as i ponder

Thoughts tonight.


When certain things is taken into overdrive, it can become so intense that compassion, consideration and empathy take the back seat. People can become so desensitised in the face of intense fight to become better, hence become numb towards the feelings of others. somehow i feel it is really scary when a person's strong desire to be up the ladder of success supersedes all else and it involves a certain selfishness.

Comparison is odious but why is everyone so consumed to compete and succeed?

i'm very much sadded after knowing some things tonight (don't ask me what). And even though i might lament at the moral decay and decline of the world, i knew i just have to face the fact that we can no longer return to the age of innocence and wonder. The new balance to allow a caring and mature society to emerge from the cold approach to modernisation hence competition and open-mindedness is rather impossible, i feel.



mauritius seem like a nice place to be right now.
